Role Description The Senior Mechanical Engineer will oversee the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems for building and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include leading mechanical design activities, reviewing calculations and drawings, selecting equipment, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional MEP teams, managing project timelines and deliverables, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and designers. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will also participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities to verify installation quality and performance. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with proven experience in building services or MEP systems.
- Proficiency in Machine Design and related mechanical components for HVAC, plumbing, or industrial applications.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for mechanical modeling, drafting, and documentation.
- Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and tracking deliverables.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including evaluating new technologies, materials, and system configurations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, perform calculations, and prepare clear engineering reports.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Prior experience in MEP consulting or contracting environments is highly beneficial.
