Role Description The Senior Educational Counselor is a full-time remote role responsible for guiding prospective and current students in planning their academic and professional pathways. This role involves conducting online counseling sessions, assessing educational backgrounds, and recommending suitable programs and study plans aligned with learners’ goals. The counselor will support students through admissions processes, application documentation, and transition into their chosen programs. Daily tasks include responding to student inquiries, providing career and academic guidance, maintaining accurate counseling records, and collaborating with internal teams to improve student support services. The Senior Educational Counselor will also contribute to outreach initiatives, develop counseling resources, and ensure a high standard of ethical, inclusive, and learner-focused guidance.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Educational Consulting and Education, with the ability to interpret academic pathways and program requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in Student Counseling, including individual advising and ongoing learner support.
- Proficiency in Communication, both written and verbal, for clear, empathetic, and professional interaction with diverse students.
- Expertise in Career Counseling to help learners connect educational choices with future employment and professional development.
- Previous experience in academic advising, educational counseling, or student services, ideally in international or distance learning contexts.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple cases, and use digital tools and student information systems effectively.
