Senior Data/Software Engineer | Netherlands | Hybrid
We’re looking for a Senior Data/Software Engineer to join a high-performing data engineering team working on large-scale data products and modern cloud infrastructure.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build and maintain data pipelines and data products
- Work within a data mesh architecture and contribute to domain data ownership
- Support legacy migration projects with minimal disruption
- Identify technical gaps and work through them to completion
- Balance hands-on engineering with stakeholder and client collaboration
- Communicate technical decisions, risks and blockers clearly
What we’re looking for:
- Strong Python development skills
- Strong SQL
- Hands-on Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code experience
- Experience with GCP, particularly BigQuery, Dataflow or similar services
- A consulting mindset and strong problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments
- Someone who takes ownership and gets things shipped
Nice to have:
- dbt
- Airflow
- Data mesh experience
- Domain-oriented data ownership
- Retail, e-commerce or consumer goods data experience
