Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cairo, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including posting journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The Senior Accountant will manage reconciliations for bank accounts, vendors, and customers, oversee payables and receivables, and support cash flow monitoring. The role includes ensuring compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, as well as assisting with audits and financial reporting to management. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with finance, operations, and management teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support management decisions.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling).
- Knowledge of local GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements; experience with audits and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and mentor junior team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Relevant experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role; exposure to the automotive sector or warranty services is a plus.
