Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Sales Engineer will work closely with clients to understand their lighting needs, propose appropriate technical solutions, and prepare quotations and project proposals. Daily tasks include conducting site visits, performing technical evaluations, coordinating with design and engineering teams, and presenting product benefits and specifications to customers. The role also involves providing pre- and post-sales technical support, responding to customer inquiries, and ensuring a smooth handover from solution design to implementation. The Sales Engineer will maintain relationships with existing clients, identify new business opportunities, and support sales targets through accurate forecasting and reporting.
Qualifications
* Strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills, with the ability to translate technical lighting specifications into practical solutions for clients.
* Proficiency in Sales and Customer Service, including experience managing client relationships and supporting the full sales cycle.
* Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with customers, internal teams, and external partners.
* Knowledge of lighting technologies, fixtures, and control systems; experience in the lighting or electrical industry is highly beneficial.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation; familiarity with basic design or CAD tools is a plus.
* Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and presentation abilities, with a structured approach to organizing projects and priorities.
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, electronics, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
* Comfort working on-site and visiting customer locations; ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
