Job Overview
The Sales Consultant – USELECT is responsible for promoting and selling pre-owned vehicles while delivering a professional and customer-focused sales experience. The role manages customers throughout the complete sales journey, from initial inquiry and needs assessment through vehicle presentation, test drive, negotiation, financing coordination, sale closure, vehicle delivery, and post-sale follow-up.The position is expected to achieve assigned sales and profitability targets, maintain accurate customer and sales information in the CRM system, develop new sales opportunities, and contribute to the growth and reputation of the USELECT business.The role exists to represent SAS Toyota’s brand values, build long-term customer relationships, and contribute to the SAS overall sales performance.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Achieve assigned vehicle sales, revenue, profitability, conversion, and value-added product targets in line with business objectives.
• Manage customer inquiries from showroom visits, telephone calls, digital channels, campaigns, referrals, and other lead sources, ensuring timely and professional responses.
• Identify customer needs, preferences, budget, and intended vehicle use, and recommend suitable pre-owned vehicles and related solutions.
• Present and demonstrate vehicles professionally, explain specifications, features, condition, pricing, warranty, and ownership benefits, and arrange test drives in accordance with company procedures.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, including lead qualification, prospect follow-up, quotation preparation, negotiation, required approvals, booking, payment coordination, documentation, sales closing, and vehicle delivery.
• Develop new sales opportunities through prospecting, referrals, customer databases, campaigns, networking, and re-engagement of previous customers and prospects.
• Maintain an active and accurate sales pipeline, ensuring systematic follow-up of all opportunities until they are converted, closed, or appropriately classified.
• Promote and coordinate available financing, insurance, warranty, service packages, accessories, trade-in solutions, and other value-added products to maximize customer value and commercial performance.
• Coordinate with Vehicle Appraisal, Finance, Insurance, Aftersales, Inventory, Operations, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth processing of sales transactions and vehicle readiness.
• Identify trade-in opportunities, coordinate vehicle inspection and valuation, and communicate approved trade-in values and processes clearly to customers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, lead, quotation, follow-up, opportunity, and sales records in the CRM system, and provide required sales and pipeline reports to management.
• Ensure all sales documentation, customer information, payments, approvals, and supporting records are complete, accurate, confidential, and handled in accordance with company procedures.
• Coordinate vehicle preparation and conduct professional vehicle handovers, ensuring customers understand key vehicle functions, warranty coverage, service requirements, and available customer support.
• Conduct post-sale follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction, address concerns, strengthen customer relationships, and generate repeat business and referrals.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of USELECT inventory, vehicle specifications, stock availability, pricing, promotional campaigns, warranties, automotive technologies, market conditions, competitor offerings, and pre-owned vehicle trends.
• Participate in required product, sales, CRM, customer service, compliance, and professional development training.
• Comply with company policies, sales procedures, pricing and approval authorities, regulatory requirements, data privacy standards, health and safety requirements, and the company code of conduct.
• Maintain a professional appearance and customer-focused behavior, and ensure that all commitments, representations, discounts, and commercial arrangements provided to customers are properly authorized and achievable.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Automotive Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in automotive sales, preferably in pre-owned vehicle sales, retail sales, or another target-driven customer-facing environment.
- Good understanding of the automotive sales process, including customer needs assessment, vehicle presentation, test drives, negotiation, closing, delivery, and follow-up.
- Strong sales, negotiation, persuasion, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with different customer profiles.
- Ability to manage leads, maintain an active sales pipeline, generate new business opportunities, and consistently achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Good knowledge of vehicle specifications, pricing, financing, insurance, warranties, trade-in processes, and related value-added products is preferred.
- Ability to use CRM systems and maintain accurate customer, lead, follow-up, and sales records.
- Good organizational, numerical, time-management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a target-driven environment.
- Professional, customer-focused, commercially aware, and able to work effectively with different internal departments.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Languages: Arabic – Fluent; Kurdish – Fluent; English – Upper-Intermediate to Advanced.
- Valid driving license and flexibility to work according to showroom business requirements, including weekends, holidays, and promotional events when required.
