V7 Recruitment are working with a leading European data centre delivery specialist who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing project team in Skellefteå, Sweden.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with 3–5 years' experience to join a major data centre construction project, gaining exposure to large-scale, technically complex developments within one of Europe's fastest-growing construction sectors.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of the project, ensuring costs are controlled, value is maximised and financial objectives are achieved.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the commercial and contractual management of the project throughout its lifecycle.
- Assisting with the preparation and management of project budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
- Supporting procurement activities, including subcontractor tendering, evaluation and contract administration.
- Managing subcontractor accounts, including valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
- Working closely with Project Managers, Package Managers and site teams on cost management.
- Maintaining accurate commercial and contractual documentation.
- Attending commercial meetings, site meetings and project reviews.
- Evaluating and processing change orders and variations in line with contract requirements.
- Preparing interim valuations and applications for payment.
- Supporting the preparation of final accounts and financial reports.
- Providing commercial advice and support to the wider project team.
- Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
- Identifying and helping resolve commercial and contractual issues.
About You
We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor with:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction.
- Experience supporting the commercial management of construction projects.
- Good understanding of cost control, procurement and contract administration.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Data centre, industrial or mission-critical project experience would be highly advantageous.
