Job DescriptionThe QA Engineer is responsible for designing and executing manual and automated tests to verify software functionality, performance, reliability, and usability. The role ensures that digital solutions meet defined quality standards and user expectations by identifying defects and quality issues early in the development lifecycle and supporting their timely resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- * Execute manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality, performance, reliability, and usability.
- Design, maintain, and update test cases and test scenarios based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects, providing clear information to support timely resolution.
- Review requirements and acceptance criteria to identify gaps, ambiguities, and potential quality issues early in the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to test planning by identifying appropriate test scenarios, test data, and estimating testing efforts.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and other applicable testing to ensure delivered features meet defined quality standards and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product teams, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and support the resolution of quality issues.
- Maintain accurate test documentation and communicate testing progress, results, defects, and identified quality risks to relevant stakeholders.
Key Deliverables
- * Complete and accurate test cases and test scenarios aligned with requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Documented test execution results with clear status, findings, and supporting evidence.
- Complete and traceable defect reports, including reproduction steps, severity, supporting evidence, and relevant logs.
- Verified defect fixes with documented retest and regression results.
- Completed functional, regression, integration, and other assigned testing within planned timelines.
- Updated test coverage through additional scenarios, edge cases, and identified requirement gaps.
- Accurate and up-to-date test documentation ensuring traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and results.
- Clear test cycle status reports highlighting testing progress, defects, blockers, identified quality risks, and overall testing outcomes.
Job RequirementsEducation, Certification & Years of experience
- * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field
- Professional certifications or licenses required or preferred for this role: Master's degree, ISTQB test certificates
- Minimum number of years of relevant work experience required for this role: 2 to 4
