Role Description The Production and Planning Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Almotakamila’s facility in Baghdad. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing daily production activities to meet quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost targets. Key responsibilities include creating and updating production schedules, coordinating materials and resources, and aligning prepress, printing, and finishing workflows. The manager monitors equipment utilization, resolves production issues, and drives continuous improvement in processes and productivity. The role also involves close collaboration with procurement, quality control, and sales teams to ensure efficient operations and on-time order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong production planning and scheduling skills, including capacity planning, workflow coordination, and resource allocation.
- Candidates should possess experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in flexible packaging, printing, or related industries, with familiarity in end-to-end production processes.
- Candidates should possess skills in quality management and process improvement, including the ability to implement standards, monitor KPIs, and drive corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise production teams, delegate tasks, and support staff development.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in using production data and basic software tools to improve efficiency.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred; relevant technical certifications are an advantage.
- Previous experience in an on-site production management role and familiarity with modern, European-origin machinery are beneficial.
