A leading Automotive Company — Sole Agent for global brands and Authorized Dealer for multiple others, including elite brands — with full 3S across mass-market and premium portfolios. We are looking for a strategic, commercially driven leader to own the growth, product, and pricing agenda across all brands.
Role Purpose: To drive business growth through acquiring new products that fit real market needs and demands, while optimizing product portfolio, market positioning, and competitive pricing to maximize sales volume, market share, gross margin, and customer lifetime value. This is a strategic role working directly with Top Management, Brand Principals/OEMs, and Dealership Leadership — not a traditional sales role. Define the models to bring, at what price, through which channel, and how to grow sustainably against competitors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Product Acquisition Strategy
- Develop 3–5-year growth roadmaps per brand (volume, market share, revenue, profitability).
- Identify and pursue white spaces: new segments, new cities, fleet, government, leasing, and used cars.
- Evaluate and acquire new products/brands — building business cases (CAPEX, ROI, payback) for new agencies, models, and facilities based on market research, demand, and commercial feasibility.
- Lead network expansion strategy: new showrooms, service centers, sub-dealers, and touchpoints.
- Drive cross-brand synergy while protecting elite-brand positioning, exclusivity, and customer experience.
2. Product Portfolio Management & Order Planning
- Own the full product lifecycle: model selection, line-up, specification, facelift/model-year changeover.
- Define model, trim, color, and option mix to match market demand and optimize stock turn.
- Work with OEMs on allocation, ordering plans, production slots, and delivery priorities.
- Develop demand-based factory order plans aligned with sales forecasts, stock velocity, and OEM schedules.
- Track production, shipping, and delivery pipelines; escalate supply risks; optimize inventory and allocate vehicles across branches.
- Launch new models end-to-end: positioning, USPs vs. competitors, pricing, training, and go-to-market plan.
- Manage slow-moving and aged-stock action plans with Sales & Marketing.
3. Pricing Strategy & Profitability
- Own pricing architecture: MSRP “Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price “, dealer network, wholesale, retail, campaigns, discounts, and trade-in support.
- Set discount-authority guardrails to protect margin and residual value — especially for premium brands.
- Lead monthly pricing committee covering market intelligence, forex, duties, OEM cost changes, and competitor moves.
- Analyze cost structures (FOB, freight, customs/duties, taxes, currency) to safeguard gross margins.
- Optimize front-end (vehicle) and back-end (service, parts, accessories, warranty, insurance) profitability.
- Analyze price elasticity, TCO, resale value, and financing impact on affordability.
- Maintain master price lists; ensure approved pricing is communicated promptly to Sales and Finance.
4. Market Intelligence & Business Performance
- Benchmark products, trims, features, and prices against local and international competitors.
- Monitor customer preferences, competitor activity, and new launches; prepare competitive comparisons and technical matrices to support Sales and Marketing.
- Build performance dashboards: sales, market share by segment, order bank, stock days, lead conversion, service absorption, and parts turnover.
- Deliver executive reporting on product performance, market intelligence, pricing realization, inventory pipeline, and gross profitability.
- Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, Logistics, and Sales; lead annual Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or Finance (MBA or Master's preferred).
- 8–12 years of automotive experience, including at least 4 years in product, pricing, commercial strategy, business development, or brand management, with strength in demand forecasting, factory ordering, and brand feasibility studies.
- Multi-brand and 3S operational experience are essential; automotive dealership or importer experience strongly preferred.
- Experience as a Sole Agent, National Sales Company, or Distributor is a strong plus; Chinese, Korean, or premium-brand exposure highly preferred.
- Technical expertise: automotive market research, product benchmarking, landed-cost modeling, price elasticity, demand forecasting, and vehicle order planning.
- Advanced Excel/Power BI; familiarity with ERP and registration data. Fluent in English.
Core Competencies
- Strategic & commercial acumen — connects market and customer demand to the P&L.
- Product sense — understands customers, trims, features, and competition.
- Analytical rigor — business modeling, pricing logic, and market data.
- OEM negotiation & stakeholder management — favorable commercial outcomes.
- Leadership & influence without direct authority across Sales, Aftersales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
- High integrity and discretion — handling multi-brand and sensitive pricing matters.
- Excellent presentation and storytelling to Board level.
