The ideal candidate should Own the Stedlers smart-home line end to end – product roadmap, OEM supplier, NTRA certification, pricing, developer pipeline and weekly performance – to take the brand from OEM specification to profitable first sales in Egypt with the support of the Elsewedy Building Solutions functions.
Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the SKU roadmap (Core / Line / EDGE smart locks, smart switch, video doorbell, home hub) and the Connect / Secure / Complete bundles, sequencing launches against certification and channel readiness.
- Manage the OEM supplier relationship end to end – specifications, samples, quality control, MOQ, lead times, payment milestones, back-to-back warranty and second-source qualification – to secure product quality and landed cost.
- Obtain and maintain NTRA type approval and all product compliance (labelling, warranty, safety, data privacy) so that no launch date or spend precedes approval.
- Define app and platform requirements on the whitelabel platform, run acceptance testing and own firmware and app release readiness.
- Set and govern the price architecture per grade and per channel (developer bulk, e-commerce, retail), channel margins and rebates within the business-unit margin floor.
- Build and close the first anchor developer contracts personally and maintain the developer pipeline with the sales team, then open e-commerce and retail channels in sequence with Elsewedy Building Solutions marketing.
- Plan stock, imports and working capital with Elsewedy Building Solutions supply chain and finance; own the volume forecast.
- Establish the installation, warranty, returns and consumer-support process with the Elsewedy Building Solutions service team; certify the first installers and feed field issues back to the OEM.
- Report weekly on units, sell-through, returns, app activations, stock and cash tied up; run the monthly gate review and maintain the business plan, unit economics and risk register.
- Apply the Stedlers brand book and coordinate the brand agency and product content with Elsewedy Building Solutions marketing and group brand governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electrical, electronics, mechatronics), Business Administration or Marketing, Preferably Engineering degree combined with an MBA or marketing qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in product management or product marketing for consumer electronics, IoT or smart devices, Preferred 7 years, including one hardware product taken from a Chinese OEM through certification to market in Egypt or the Gulf; OEM and B2B (developer / distributor / retail) negotiation experience.
- Preferably to have certificates in Product management (e.g., Pragmatic, AIPMM) or project management (PMP) certification; familiarity with NTRA type-approval process.
- Advanced English
- Advanced Excel (unit economics, forecasting); MS Office; product and project tracking tools, Preferred Experience with Tuya or similar white label IoT platforms; app-store consoles; marketplace seller portals.
- Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
