Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physics Teacher role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Physics Teacher will plan and deliver IGCSE-aligned physics lessons, design instructional materials, and prepare assessments that support rigorous academic standards. Daily responsibilities include explaining key physics concepts, demonstrating experiments where appropriate, guiding students through problem-solving activities, and providing constructive feedback on assignments and exams. The teacher will maintain accurate records of student progress, participate in departmental meetings, coordinate with colleagues on curriculum development, and communicate regularly with learners and guardians about performance and goals. The role also involves maintaining an inclusive classroom environment and supporting students in exam preparation and broader academic development.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in Physics and solid understanding of Physics Education principles.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum development for IGCSE or similar secondary-level programs.
- Competence in Mathematics to support physics problem-solving and quantitative reasoning.
- Proven experience in Teaching at the secondary level, ideally within IGCSE or comparable international frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Physics Education, or a closely related field.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse learners and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
- Strong classroom management skills and commitment to creating an inclusive, respectful learning environment.
- Proficiency in English for instruction and documentation; familiarity with IGCSE assessment standards is an advantage.
- Organizational skills to manage lesson preparation, grading, and reporting within set timelines.
