Role Description The Operation Officer – Sea Freight is a full-time, on-site role based in Amman, Jordan. This position is responsible for coordinating daily sea freight operations, including booking shipments, preparing documentation, and ensuring adherence to shipping schedules and carrier requirements. The role involves monitoring cargo movements, following up with shipping lines, customs brokers, and clients, and updating systems and records to reflect shipment status accurately. The Operation Officer will handle rate inquiries, support quotation preparation, and help resolve operational issues to maintain service quality and timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all facets of logistics operations, including sea freight (both LCL and FCL).
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain effective communication with overseas agents.
Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth and efficient logistics
processes.
Qualification:
-Bachelor’s degree (Required).
-Minimum 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding companies (Required).
-Sound knowledge of supply chain management, logistics software, and MS Office.
-Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
-Excellent problem-solving, organizational skills, and high attention to detail.
-Ability to multitask, thrive under pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
