Role DescriptionThe Senior Mechanical Technical role is a full-time, on-site position based in El Maadi. This senior-level position involves leading complex routine and corrective maintenance operations on heavy mechanical equipment across roads, rail, and industrial applications, ensuring maximum reliability and adherence to safety standards.
Daily and strategic tasks include:
- Diagnosing complex mechanical faults, leading root-cause failure analysis (RCFA), and executing advanced troubleshooting.
- Overseeing and performing preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize operational downtime.
- Directing major repairs, component overhauls, over-dimension adjustments, and restoring high-value equipment to optimal performance.
- Providing technical guidance, mentorship, and supervision to junior technicians on-site.
- Supporting equipment installation, testing, and commissioning phases for new projects.
- Collaborating closely with engineering, operations, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) teams to enforce quality and safety procedures.
- Documenting maintenance metrics, failure reports, and contributing to the continuous improvement of maintenance strategies.
Qualifications Experience:* Proven experience (typically 3–5+ years) in heavy equipment maintenance, mechanical systems, and industrial machinery, preferably within infrastructure, rail, roads, or heavy industries.

Technical Expertise: Advanced hands-on experience in mechanical repair, overhauling, and component replacement.

Troubleshooting & Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to diagnose complex mechanical faults, interpret performance data, and implement effective, long-term technical solutions.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Strong background in planning, optimizing, and executing maintenance programs to maximize asset lifespan.

Education: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

Technical Literacy: Advanced capability in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer manuals, alongside proficiency with specialized diagnostic tools.
