Marketing Manager
Lead the marketing behind a destination retail experience.
Our client is an established destination retailer offering seasonal merchandise, home décor, apparel, specialty goods, and engaging in-store experiences. We are recruiting a Marketing Manager to lead its marketing team and bring campaigns to life across social media, email, advertising, events, and the store itself.
This role combines people leadership, creative direction, and marketing strategy. You will set priorities, guide creative work, improve department workflows, and use campaign results to make better marketing decisions. Your work will help customers discover the store, connect with the brand, and return throughout the year.
What You Will Do
- Lead a small marketing team, assigning work, setting expectations, coaching employees, and addressing performance concerns.
- Build and manage the marketing calendar for seasonal campaigns, promotions, events, and store initiatives.
- Direct creative work from initial brief through approval, providing clear feedback on messaging, design, photography, and brand consistency.
- Lead social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, including short-form video and Reels.
- Select content formats and channels based on the audience, campaign objective, and budget.
- Use A/B testing to evaluate creative, messaging, email subject lines, and calls to action, then apply the findings to future campaigns.
- Oversee email marketing, website content, advertising, signage, and print production.
- Improve how marketing requests are prioritized, assigned, reviewed, and completed.
- Manage budgets, vendors, and resources, and report results and recommendations to ownership.
- Work with buyers, department managers, and store leadership to support customer traffic, engagement, and sales.
What You Will Bring
- 3–5+ years of B2C marketing experience, preferably in retail, hospitality, home décor, fashion, garden centers, events, or another destination business.
- Previous responsibility for directly managing marketing or creative employees.
- Experience directing creative work, including briefs, feedback, approvals, and deadlines.
- Direct social media experience, including content planning, Reels or other short-form video, and performance analysis.
- Practical experience with A/B testing and using results to improve marketing decisions.
- Experience managing seasonal campaigns, budgets, vendors, and competing priorities.
- Clear writing and communication skills, sound creative judgment, and an eye for brand consistency.
- Familiarity with creative tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva, plus email platforms, website content-management systems, social scheduling tools, and analytics.
- Ability to work onsite in Selma, with occasional evenings and weekends for events and seasonal needs.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
You will have ownership of a full marketing program, a creative team to lead, and regular collaboration with company leadership. From seasonal launches and social content to store signage and customer events, you will see your work become part of the shopping experience.
- If you enjoy leading people, shaping creative work, and turning marketing plans into results, we would like to hear from you.
