Role Description The Manager role at Amas Hypermarket is a contract, on-site position based in Erbil. The Manager oversees daily store operations, including staff supervision, shift scheduling, and ensuring that customer service standards are consistently met. Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining proper merchandising and product displays. The Manager also tracks sales performance, implements promotional activities, and ensures compliance with company policies and local regulations. This position works closely with team members to resolve issues, optimize workflows, and maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in retail or supermarket/hypermarket management, with the ability to oversee day-to-day store operations and lead diverse teams.
- Strong skills in staff coordination, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution, with a focus on creating an inclusive and respectful workplace.
- Proficiency in inventory control, basic budgeting, and sales reporting, including the use of point-of-sale and retail management systems.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to address customer concerns and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Ability to work on-site in Erbil, manage shifting priorities, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in retail is strongly preferred; vocational or academic training in business, management, or a related field is an advantage.
- Knowledge of local market practices and regulations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and external partners.
