We are seeking a skilled unix system administrator to manage ,maintain and optimize unix-based servers . Ideal candidate will ensure high availability , performance, security aspects of mission-critical servers while supporting infrastructure related projects and operational tasks.
Key responsibility :
- 8+ years of experience in Linux Engineer
- install, configure and maintain unix servers (Redhat Linux, AIX , Solaris)
- Monitor servers performance and proactively identifying the issues and actively participating in the troubleshooting.
- manage users accounts, sudo permissions and system security
- strong knowledge in virtualization and physical servers that run on Linux/AIX
- expertise in any one high availability software.(veritas,red hat cluster etc)
- Apply patches and updates to ensure system integrity and compliance
- knowledge in firmware upgrade on physical servers
- automate routine tasks with shell script or other tools
- participate in oncall rotation and incident outages
- Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools
- understanding ITIL process and change management process
- excellent problem solving skills to finalize RCA on outages
- RHCSA / RHCE , AIX certification will be added advantage.
