Role Summary
We’re looking for an International Market Operations Assistant Manager to oversee and coordinate the operational activities, ensuring seamless cross-border transactions, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This is a pivotal role for a fast-growing fintech company where you’ll oversee international payment flows, optimize processes, and manage high-performing operations teams across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily international operations, including cross-border payments, digital wallets, and partner integrations.
- Ensure full compliance with AML/KYC, and other international financial regulations.
- Optimize operational workflows through automation and process improvements.
- Monitor and report on key metrics: transaction success rates, settlement times, operational errors, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with regional teams and partners to resolve issues quickly and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and develop your team to ensure operational excellence and accountability.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership to drive strategic decisions and operational scaling.
- Implement and monitor transactional safeguarding controls to protect client accounts and funds, ensuring secure processing of international transactions.
- Oversee operational controls related to account access, transaction approvals, and payment authorization workflows to minimize fraud and operational risks.
- Ensure segregation of duties, transaction monitoring, and reconciliation processes are properly implemented to safeguard client funds and maintain financial integrity.
- Investigate and escalate suspicious or irregular transaction activity in coordination with Compliance teams
Competencies
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Operations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
- 5+ years in international fintech operations, cross-border payments, or global financial services.
Skills:
- Deep understanding of payment processing, AML/KYC regulations, and cross-border financial compliance.
- Strong leadership skills with proven team management experience.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to monitor KPIs and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
