International Trader
About the Company
On behalf of a well-established, international commodity trading company, I'm looking for an ambitious International Trader. The company is active in the sourcing, trading, and distribution of commodities across global markets, working with a network of suppliers and customers spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and beyond.
The Role
As an International Trader, you'll manage and grow trading positions in global commodity markets. You'll build and maintain relationships with international suppliers and buyers, negotiate contracts, and keep a close eye on market developments to identify opportunities and manage risk.
Your responsibilities:
- Buy and sell commodities on international markets, managing positions from negotiation through to delivery
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers across multiple countries
- Monitor global market trends, pricing, and supply-demand dynamics to inform trading decisions
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and logistics with international counterparties
- Coordinate with logistics, finance, and quality teams to ensure smooth execution of trades
- Manage price and currency risk in line with company policy
- Represent the company at trade fairs, client visits, and industry events abroad
What You Bring
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree, ideally in Business, Economics, International Trade, or a related field
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in trading, sales, or accountmanagement
- Strong commercial instinct, analytical skills, and negotiation ability
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with regular travel
- A proactive, results-driven mindset and the ability to build trust with partners across cultures
