We are currently looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our team.
The ideal candidate is someone who’s capable of performing the below responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site audits and fieldwork across the Group, including domestic and international locations, as required by the approved audit plan.
- Plan and execute internal audits covering financial operations, accounting, treasury, payments, receivables, inventory, procurement, and other business processes.
- Define audit objectives, scope, key risks, testing approach, timelines, and required resources for assigned engagements.
- Perform risk assessments and identify key financial, operational, compliance, and control risks.
- Perform compliance audits to assess adherence to Group policies, procedures, Delegation of Authority, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
- Perform walkthroughs, risk assessments, control testing, substantive testing, and data analysis.
- Review financial transactions and identify unusual, exceptional, or potentially fraudulent activities.
- Use data analytics and exception reporting to identify anomalies, trends, recurring issues, and potential control weaknesses.
- Identify control deficiencies, assess their impact and root causes, and develop practical and sustainable recommendations.
- Prepare clear and professional audit working papers, findings, and audit reports.
- Discuss audit observations with process owners and agree on appropriate management action plans.
- Present significant findings and audit conclusions to the Supervisor and relevant management.
- Follow up on previously issued audit findings and assess the implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Report overdue, insufficient, or ineffective corrective actions to the Supervisor and escalate significant unresolved issues.
- Support fraud investigations, special reviews, and other assignments when required.
- Assist the Supervisor in developing the annual audit plan and risk-based audit approach.
- Monitor assigned audit engagements to ensure they are completed within agreed timelines and resources.
- Provide coaching and guidance to Internal Auditors on audit methodology, testing, documentation, and professional practices.
- Maintain effective relationships with Finance, Operations, and other business functions while preserving Internal Audit independence and objectivity.
- Ensure all audit work is performed in accordance with Internal Audit methodology and applicable professional standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Financial Control, or Risk & Compliance.
- Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, or equivalent is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of financial processes and internal control frameworks.
- Experience in auditing financial and operational processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Good knowledge of Excel and data analysis tools; ERP experience is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
- High level of integrity, professional skepticism, and attention to detail.
