The RoleMace is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Manager / Senior MEP Project Manager to lead the delivery, integration and commissioning of complex building services, technology and control systems across major infrastructure and development programmes.
Working as part of the PMC team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, coordination, installation, testing and integration of specialist MEP, ICT and control systems, ensuring seamless operation across multiple assets and stakeholders. The role requires a strong technical background in plant control systems, smart building technologies and systems integration, combined with proven project management capabilities within large-scale, multidisciplinary developments.
Your Responsibilities
- * Leading the delivery of instrumentation, controls, automation and specialist MEP systems from design through commissioning and handover.
- Managing all project phases including design reviews, procurement support, construction oversight, testing, commissioning and operational readiness.
- Acting as the primary technical authority for PMS, SCADA, BMS, CCMS, EMS, ELV and integrated building technology systems.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams including consultants, contractors, vendors, specialist integrators and client stakeholders.
- Reviewing and validating system architecture, control philosophies, network topologies and integration strategies.
- Driving Systems Integration (MSI) activities to ensure seamless communication between mechanical, electrical, ICT, ELV and operational technology platforms.
- Monitoring project progress, managing technical risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
- Reviewing contractor submissions, shop drawings, method statements, testing procedures and commissioning plans.
- Managing factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), integrated systems testing and performance validation.
- Leading stakeholder workshops and technical coordination meetings while providing regular reporting on programme, risks and delivery status.
- Ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, local regulations and industry best practice.
- Supporting operational handover, training, asset information management and lifecycle readiness.
You'll Need To Have
- * Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
- Approximately 15+ years of experience delivering complex MEP, infrastructure or large development projects.
- Proven experience managing instrumentation, controls and automation systems within major programmes.
- Strong technical knowledge of PMS, SCADA, BMS, CCMS, EMS, PLC, DDC and integrated control systems.
- Experience leading Master Systems Integration (MSI) activities and coordinating interfaces between multiple technology platforms.
- Demonstrable experience with complex infrastructure, utilities, district cooling, transportation, aviation, data centre, healthcare, mixed-use or large-scale development projects.
- Strong understanding of testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing and operational handover processes.
- Experience reviewing technical designs, specifications, control strategies and contractor deliverables.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and reporting skills.
Experience managing consultants, contractors and specialist vendors within a PMC, consultancy or client-side environment.
- GCC or Middle East project experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of Interface management'
