Role Description The Import Operation role at ECL Global Logistics is a full-time, on-site position based in Sheraton El Matar. The role involves coordinating and executing daily import activities, including preparing and reviewing documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and tracking shipments to on-time delivery. The team member will communicate with customers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve issues, provide shipment updates, and support smooth clearance and transportation processes. Responsibilities also include data entry into logistics systems, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to continuous improvement of import procedures. The role requires close collaboration with colleagues to ensure efficient operations and high-quality customer service.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess skills in Import and Import Export operations, including documentation handling and coordination of inbound shipments.
* Candidates should possess skills in Export and International Trade, with an understanding of regulations, trade terms, and global logistics processes.
* Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills, including clear communication, issue resolution, and professional client interaction.
* Relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations is beneficial.
* Knowledge of customs procedures, Incoterms, and basic trade compliance requirements is advantageous.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately under time constraints are required.
* Proficiency in standard office software and logistics systems, along with good written and spoken English, is preferred.
* A diploma or degree in Logistics, Business, or a related field is an asset, or equivalent practical experience in import/export operations.
