Position OverviewWe are seeking an outstanding IB DP Coordinator to join our exceptional team from January 2027. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop a lifelong appreciation for learning, while contributing to the continued success of our vibrant learning community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the effective implementation and ongoing development of the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) in line with IB standards, practices and school priorities.
- Ensure the school remains compliant with all IB requirements, policies, procedures and assessment regulations, coordinating key deadlines and submissions.
- Support and guide DP teachers in curriculum planning, assessment, moderation and the delivery of high-quality IB teaching and learning.
- Coordinate the administration of the Diploma Programme, including student registrations, examinations, internal assessments and communication with the IB.
- Work closely with students, parents, teachers and school leadership to support subject selection, student progress and successful completion of the Diploma Programme.
- Lead professional learning and collaboration across the DP team, promoting best practice and contributing to the continued development of the school’s IB provision.
Skills DescriptionSuccessful Candidate
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) or a subject-related degree with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/state teaching licence or equivalent).
- Have strong experience within the IB Diploma Programme, ideally including previous experience as an IBDP Coordinator or in an IB leadership/coordination role.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of IBDP standards, assessment requirements, policies and programme administration.
- Have proven experience supporting teachers and students within an IB environment, with the ability to drive high standards of teaching, learning and student outcomes.
- Demonstrate excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
- Be a collaborative and reflective leader, committed to continuous improvement, professional development and the values and philosophy of the International Baccalaureate.
