Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Estimation Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, reviewing HVAC drawings and specifications, conducting quantity take-offs, and preparing competitive quotations for HVAC and MEP projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for HVAC systems and MEP projects.
- Review tender documents, technical specifications, HVAC drawings, and BOQs.
- Conduct quantity take-offs for HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, insulation, and other related materials.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare material costing, labour costing, and project cost breakdowns.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining technical compliance and quality standards.
- Prepare tender submissions and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Follow up on supplier quotations and clarify technical and commercial requirements.
- Support the tendering team in preparing competitive bids within submission deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant experience in HVAC estimation and MEP projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ducting, chilled water piping, ventilation, and air-conditioning equipment.
- Experience in quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, costing, and tender estimation.
- Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation-related software.
- Good negotiation, analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- UAE experience in building construction or MEP contracting is preferred.
