About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on HR Manager to oversee and develop the company’s human resources operations within the automotive industry. The HR Manager will work closely with management and department leaders to ensure effective people management, employee engagement, recruitment, performance management, and HR compliance.
This role is suitable for an HR professional who is both strategic and operational, with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced automotive retail environment.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the full HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.

Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and processes in line with company objectives and applicable employment regulations.

Lead recruitment activities for sales, aftersales, finance, administration, and management positions.

Work closely with department managers and store managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment plans.

Manage employee onboarding, probation reviews, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and other employee lifecycle processes.

Establish and manage performance appraisal and employee development systems.

Provide HR guidance and support to managers on employee relations, performance issues, attendance, leave, disciplinary matters, and workplace policies.

Ensure HR practices comply with applicable Dutch employment laws and company policies.

Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

Coordinate payroll-related HR information, including employee changes, salary adjustments, leave, and benefits.

Support compensation and benefits administration and conduct salary benchmarking when required.

Monitor employee attendance, leave, working hours, and other HR-related data.

Organize employee training, development programs, and internal communication activities.

Support organizational development and workforce planning as the business grows.

Handle HR-related communication with employees and management in a professional and confidential manner.

Support management in building a positive, professional, and performance-oriented workplace culture.

Prepare regular HR reports and provide management with HR insights and recommendations.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

5+ years of relevant HR experience**, preferably with experience in the automotive, retail, dealership, or other fast-paced commercial industries.

Solid knowledge of HR operations and employee lifecycle management.

Good understanding of Dutch employment law and HR compliance.

Experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy development.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively with management and employees at different levels.

Fluent in English; Chinese is required.

Dutch language skills are an advantage.
