Role Description The Health and Safety Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Nasr City at Global Medical City. This role is responsible for monitoring and implementing health, safety, and environment policies across clinical and non-clinical areas to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Daily tasks include conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards, supporting risk assessments, and assisting in the investigation and documentation of incidents. The technician will help maintain accurate safety records, participate in training sessions, and collaborate with medical and facilities teams to promote a safe workplace for patients, visitors, and staff. The role also involves supporting occupational health initiatives and recommending corrective actions to improve overall safety performance.
Qualifications
- * Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health skills.
- Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) knowledge and practical experience.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for hazard identification, incident analysis, and reporting.
- Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations and healthcare facility standards is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Professional certifications in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are an advantage.
