Qualifications & Experience:
· Diploma, bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science or equivalent.
· OSH Practitioner or Professional Level Certification issued by the Ministry of HRSD, KSA.
· IOSH Working Safely, OSHA 32 Hours, or equivalent HSE certification.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE roles within the construction or infrastructure industry.
· Solid understanding of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
· Experience in conducting safety inspections.
· Ability to communicate safety concerns effectively to the project team.
· Knowledge of emergency response and first aid procedures.
Responsibilities:
· Increase awareness levels of charge hands, foremen, and supervisors in conducting on-site safety briefings to workers, ensuring effective communication of hazards, safety procedures, and best practices.
· Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards and practices.
· Implement and enforce HSE policies and procedures in compliance with KSA and international regulations.
· Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
· Investigate incidents, prepare initial incident reports, and recommend corrective actions.
· Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety measures on site.
· Stay updated on the latest HSE regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
· Ensure PTW (Permit to Work) is obtained by the crew in charge, and all requirements listed in the PTW are met.
· Provide support and guidance to employees on HSE-related issues.
· Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, toolbox talks and other HSE activities.
· Raise HSE observations using the AlmaHSE App and work closely with the construction team to ensure all observations are closed out.
· Organize and facilitate regular toolbox talks for all site personnel.
· Ensure effective communication of safety updates and changes to HSE policies and procedures to all relevant stakeholders.
· Monitor and support the implementation of safe work practices and corrective actions based on site inspections and audits.
· Report to the HSE Supervisor for all safety-related issues, updates, and documentation.
· Assist in the preparation of HSE documentation for project proposals and tenders, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
· Engage with employees to promote a positive safety culture and encourage proactive safety behavior.
· Perform other HSE duties as assigned.
