Role Description The Director, SEC India is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the strategic vision, operational execution, and growth of the center’s learning and capacity-building programs. This position oversees the planning, development, and delivery of training tracks across aquaculture, feedmilling, soy foods for human utilization, and poultry, ensuring alignment with USSEC’s broader protein industry objectives. The Director will manage stakeholder relationships with industry partners, academic institutions, trainers, and participants, and will represent SEC India in regional and global forums. Day-to-day responsibilities include program design and evaluation, budget and resource management, team leadership, performance tracking, and reporting on impact and outcomes. The Director will also identify new opportunities for partnerships, outreach, and innovation to expand SEC India’s reach and relevance in the protein sector.
Qualifications
- Experience in program leadership and management, including strategic planning, operations oversight, and performance evaluation.
- Background in agriculture, animal nutrition, aquaculture, feedmilling, poultry, or soy-based food systems, with strong understanding of protein industry dynamics.
- Proven ability to build and manage partnerships with industry, academia, and professional networks, and to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-cultural, and multidisciplinary environments.
- Demonstrated skills in curriculum or training program development, adult learning, or capacity-building initiatives.
- Experience managing budgets, resources, and project timelines, with attention to detail and accountability for outcomes.
- Proficiency with digital collaboration tools, virtual training platforms, and basic data analysis or reporting tools.
- Relevant advanced degree (e.g., agriculture, food science, animal science, business, or related field) is preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
