:Job Summary
We are seeking a creative, highly communicative, and hands-on Event Designer. In this role, you will bridge the gap between imaginative 3D concepts and practical, on-ground execution. You will be responsible for designing high-impact stage setups and event environments, selecting suitable materials, preparing technical working drawings, and supervising on-site installations to bring designs to life in line with approved renders.
:Key Responsibilities
- 3D Design & Spatial Concepts: Translate client briefs into functional 3D spatial concepts, stage layouts, and event environments reflecting brand identities.
- Material Selection & Specifications: Select suitable materials, textures, lighting, and finishes (e.g., wood, acrylic, metals, fabrics, trussing) considering aesthetic impact, budget, and durability for temporary builds.
- Working Drawings: Prepare detailed technical production drawings, floor plans, elevation views, and structural dimensions for workshop manufacturing and production teams.
- On-Ground Supervision: Oversee on-site set installation, staging, and finishing during setups (requiring flexibility for late-night site shifts, workshop monitoring, and live event setups) to ensure safety and quality standards.
- Communication & Coordination: Maintain excellent communication with clients during design presentations, and collaborate closely with internal production teams, external vendors, and contractors to solve technical execution challenges effectively on-site.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Applied Arts, Architecture, Interior Design, or an equivalent relevant field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of proven experience in event/stage set design and on-ground project execution.
- Technical & Software Skills:
- 3D Modeling & Rendering: High proficiency in industry-standard 3D modeling and rendering software to produce realistic spatial renders and spatial concepts.
- 2D & Technical Drafting: Strong ability to generate technical working drawings and floor plans using standard 2D drafting tools.
- Graphic Visualization: Competency in design and graphic suite tools for texture mapping and visual presentations.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction materials, temporary structural integrity, stage lighting, graphic printing materials, and workshop manufacturing techniques.
