Role Description The Elementary Music Teacher role is a full-time, on-site position based at Elite Private School in Abu Dhabi. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging music lessons for elementary students, introducing fundamental music concepts, rhythm, notation, and basic instruments, with a focus on piano where appropriate. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to support individual growth. The teacher will organize and direct student performances, school concerts, and musical events, and collaborate with other educators to integrate music into broader classroom activities and school projects. Additional duties include maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment, communicating regularly with families, and participating in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
- * Candidates should possess strong skills in Music Theory and general Music understanding to teach core concepts effectively.
- Candidates should possess practical Music Performance skills to demonstrate techniques and guide student performances.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Music Education, including age-appropriate instructional methods for elementary students.
- Candidates should possess Piano skills to support lessons, accompaniment, and basic piano instruction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Music, or a related field; formal teaching qualifications or certification are preferred.
- Experience teaching elementary-age students in a school setting, ideally in an international or bilingual environment.
- Ability to create inclusive, student-centered lessons that support diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
- Willingness to participate in school events, performances, and extracurricular activities related to music.
