Job Purpose
To diagnose, repair, install, and maintain electrical and electronic systems in GAC vehicles, ensuring all work is completed according to manufacturer standards, safety regulations, and company quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults in vehicle electrical and electronic systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair and replace faulty wiring, sensors, control modules, alternators, starters, lighting systems, and electrical components.
- Perform diagnostics on vehicle systems including Engine Management System (EMS), ABS, SRS (Airbag), HVAC, infotainment, and body control modules.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and manufacturer repair procedures.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on electrical and electronic systems.
- Install and configure electrical accessories such as GPS trackers, cameras, parking sensors, dashcams, and other aftermarket equipment.
- Use computerized diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify vehicle faults.
- Test electrical circuits and components using multimeters and specialized testing equipment.
- Ensure all repairs are completed accurately and within allocated labor times.
- Maintain workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
- Prepare job cards, repair reports, and documentation of work completed.
- Comply with company HSE policies and manufacturer service standards.
- Support workshop productivity and customer satisfaction objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / ITI / Technical Certification in Automotive Electrical or Automotive Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Automotive Electrician, preferably with passenger vehicles.
- Experience working with GAC vehicles or other modern automotive brands is preferred.
- Knowledge of CAN Bus systems, vehicle electronics, and computerized diagnostics.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Candidate from Oman Prefered
