Role Description The Electrical Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment on construction and operational sites, including wiring, panels, lighting, and control systems. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine electrical maintenance, diagnosing faults, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions in compliance with relevant codes and safety regulations. The Electrical Technician will read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics, coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades, and document work performed and materials used. The role also requires supporting site inspections, adhering to company safety procedures, and responding to urgent electrical issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Electrical Maintenance and hands-on work with Electrical Equipment across construction or industrial environments.
- Solid understanding of Electricity principles and basic Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to installation and repair.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting electrical faults, identifying root causes, and applying effective corrective solutions.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Vocational diploma, technical certificate, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Technology or a related field.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices for safe work on energized and de-energized systems.
- Ability to use standard electrical tools, testing instruments, and measurement devices accurately.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary site teams and supervisors.
- Previous experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role in contracting, construction, or facilities maintenance is preferred.
