Electrical Procurement Engineer (MEP)

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Procurement Engineer (MEP) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring electrical materials and equipment for MEP projects while ensuring compliance with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- * Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs for electrical systems.
- Prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors.
- Analyze quotations and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms.
- Source and procure electrical materials, equipment, and systems required for MEP projects.
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and site teams to ensure timely material delivery.
- Evaluate and approve suppliers based on quality, cost, and performance criteria.
- Monitor procurement schedules and maintain procurement documentation.
- Ensure purchased materials comply with project specifications and international standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- * Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3-8 years of experience in procurement for MEP or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials, LV systems, cables, switchgear, lighting, and related MEP products.
- Experience with supplier negotiations and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
- * Familiarity with local and international electrical standards.
- Strong analytical and cost-control skills.
- Experience in GCC construction projects is an advantage.
