Job Summary:
Supervise the implementation of electrical works on-site, ensuring compliance with technical drawings, specifications, and approved codes, while monitoring quality, safety, and coordination among all parties to deliver electrical systems efficiently and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Daily supervision of electrical works (power – lighting – panels – cables – low current systems – grounding – lightning protection).
- Review and approve Shop Drawings and ensure compliance with IFC drawings.
- Review and approve Material Submittals and ensure compliance with specifications and codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE).
- Monitor cable laying, pulling, connections, termination, and insulation testing.
- Supervise the installation of electrical panels MDB, SMDB, DB and ensure proper connections.
- Monitor low current systems such as:
- Fire Alarm
- CCTV
- Access Control
- BMS
- Data & Communication
- Conduct electrical tests including:
- Insulation Resistance Test
- Continuity Test
- Megger Test
- Earth Resistance Test
- Functional Testing
- Coordinate with other disciplines to avoid conflicts (Civil, Mechanical, Architectural).
- Prepare daily and weekly reports on work progress and observations.
- Manage and guide technicians and contractors to ensure quality execution.
- Prepare Snag Lists and follow up on their closure.
- Participate in initial commissioning works and ensure systems are ready for handover.
- Monitor electrical safety and ensure adherence to HSE procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university or equivalent.
- 8–10 years of experience in project supervision.
- Strong knowledge of codes and standards:
- NEC
- IEC
- IEEE
- NFPA (for alarm systems)
- Proficiency in software:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- MS Office
