Key Responsibilities
Strategy development and planning
- Lead the annual and multi-year strategic planning process, including market analysis, scenario planning, and goal setting.
- Translate corporate vision into clear strategic priorities, initiatives, and measurable targets.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory shifts, and macroeconomic developments, and advise leadership on implications.
- Identify new growth opportunities, including new markets, sectors, partnerships, and business models.
Investment strategy and analysis
- Shape the investment thesis and strategic asset allocation framework in collaboration with the investment teams.
- Oversee the evaluation of new investment opportunities, including financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and risk assessment.
- Prepare investment memoranda and recommendations for the Investment Committee and Board.
- Support M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships from screening through execution and integration.
Portfolio performance and governance
- Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to track portfolio and strategic initiative performance.
- Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and recommend rebalancing, divestment, or follow-on investment decisions.
- Ensure investment processes comply with governance policies, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
Leadership and stakeholder management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of strategy and investment professionals.
- Partner with Finance, Risk, Legal, Operations, and business unit leaders to drive cross-functional alignment.
- Present strategic recommendations and performance updates to the executive team, Board, and external stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with external advisors, consultants, co-investors, and industry partners.
