Summary
We are currently looking for a Design Engineer to strengthen our team, based in Stockholm. In this role you would be supporting the design of our fire suppression systems, performing hydraulic calculations, also participating in site surveys and communicating with our customers.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Higher education suitable for the task (Design, CAD, Mechanical, Building Services, Civil, Construction or Electrical Engineering)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities needed to handle frequent discussions with the customers
- Fluent Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written
- ~2 years of work experience with AutoCAD 2D/3D (preferred) or other relevant CAD software
- Strong calculation and costing abilities
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team, analytical skills and attention to detail
Although not necessary, it would be a great advantage:
- Experience/knowledge with Revit 3D design software
- Experience with HVAC, fire protection system/sprinkler design, involvement with plumbing/piping
- Knowledge/practical experience with Hydraulic systems or Electricity/Electrical products
Responsibilities:
In the role of Design Engineer, you focus on CAD to design and construct layout solutions of Marioff's sprinkler systems and associated detection systems. You are already involved in the sales phase together with the responsible salespeople by acting as an expert regarding design of the product. After that, you are responsible for designing solutions and layouts in AutoCAD and Revit as well as Marioff's internal tools. You are involved throughout the project until the project is completed at the customer's premises. Marioff works on several different projects in real estate and in the industrial sector.
You will work closely with other design engineers and project managers, you would report directly to the Operations Manager, who’s based in the office in Kista. You will also work with fitters and service technicians who will work with the systems you design. The position involves some travel around Sweden.
