Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Dental Hygienist based in Amman, Jordan. The Dental Hygienist will perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and dental prophylaxis, while supporting the dentist in delivering high-quality patient care. Daily responsibilities include assessing oral health, identifying signs of periodontal disease, documenting findings, and educating patients on hygiene techniques and preventive care. The role also involves maintaining infection control standards, preparing and organizing treatment rooms, updating patient records, and collaborating with the dental team to ensure a smooth clinical workflow. The Dental Hygienist is expected to provide respectful, inclusive care to patients of all backgrounds and age groups.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Dentistry and Dental Care, including understanding of oral anatomy, common conditions, and treatment workflows.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Hygiene practices and Dental Prophylaxis, including professional cleaning, scaling, and polishing techniques.
- Ability to assess, monitor, and assist in managing Periodontal Disease, including recording periodontal measurements and supporting treatment plans.
- Valid dental hygiene license or certification, as required by local regulations in Jordan.
- Experience in a clinical dental setting, with familiarity in infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients regarding oral hygiene and preventive care.
- Attention to detail, strong documentation skills, and comfort using dental practice management or electronic record systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary dental team and adapt to a busy clinical environment.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene or a closely related field.
