We're Hiring: Customs Specialist
Location: Alexandria, Egypt
Nile Projects & Trading Co. (NPTCO) is looking for a Customs Specialist to join our Logistics team and handle import shipments, customs documentation, and clearance activities.
About the role
The Customs Specialist will be responsible for following up on import shipments from initiation through customs clearance, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth coordination with customs brokers.
What you'll do
- Follow up on import shipments through the Nafeza platform until customs clearance.
- Create and follow up on ACID requests and ensure accurate data entry.
- Review shipping and customs documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and follow up on shipment clearance status.
- Review and update HS/Customs Codes when required.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve any documentation or customs issues.
- Ensure shipments are cleared within the agreed lead time.
- Maintain accurate records of customs documents and shipment status.
What we're looking for
- 2–3 years of experience in customs clearance, import/export, logistics, or freight forwarding.
- Good practical knowledge of Nafeza and ACID.
- Experience dealing with customs brokers and Egyptian Customs procedures.
- Good understanding of HS/Customs Codes and shipping documents.
- Strong follow-up, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify documentation discrepancies.
