- Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost estimates, and cost forecasts.
- Track actual project expenditure against approved budgets.
- Analyze cost variances and identify areas of cost overrun or savings.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and provide management with accurate cost updates.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, Finance, and site teams.
- Monitor purchase orders, subcontractor costs, invoices, variations, and commitments.
- Review project progress and ensure costs are aligned with the actual work completed.
- Maintain accurate cost-control records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with preparation of cash-flow forecasts and financial projections.
- Monitor material, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Support the preparation and evaluation of variation orders and claims.
- Identify potential financial risks and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and project contractual requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related engineering field.
- Professional certification in Cost Control, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of construction and project cost control principles.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure Projects
- A team player with proven ability to work under Pressure and to meet deadlines.
