We're Hiring: Contracts & Commercial Manager – Kuwait
Our client is a long-established, top-tier (Grade 1) construction contractor headquartered in Kuwait. They have decades of experience delivering landmark buildings, infrastructure and mixed-use projects across the GCC, and are now looking for a Contracts & Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function across their full project portfolio.

What You'll Do
- Lead the Contracts & Commercial function across all company projects, setting commercial strategy in line with business and margin targets
- Review tender documents, BOQs, specifications and contract conditions before award, and flag commercial and contractual risks
- Negotiate and finalise client contracts, subcontracts, consultancy agreements and supplier terms
- Oversee contract administration across the project lifecycle, making sure notices, correspondence and records protect the company's entitlements
- Track project commercial performance: revenue, cost, commitments, cost-to-complete, EFC and profitability
- Lead the preparation, negotiation and settlement of claims, variations and EOTs, including prolongation and disruption
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier claims, variations and payment recommendations
- Drive final account settlement and recovery of all contractual entitlements
- Maintain commercial risk registers and mitigation plans
- Lead negotiations and dispute resolution, working with Legal on mediation, arbitration and formal proceedings
- Set up commercial procedures, internal controls, KPIs and executive-level reporting
- Lead, coach and develop a team of contracts, commercial and QS professionals
What You'll Bring
- * 12–15 years' experience in contracts and commercial management with a construction or EPC contractor, including at least 5 years in a managerial role
- Strong command of FIDIC and other international contract forms, with a proven track record in claims, variations, EOTs, dispute resolution and final accounts
- Experience on large-scale building, infrastructure, industrial or mixed-use projects
- Solid grounding in quantity surveying, cost control, budgeting and financial reporting
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle or similar) and MS Office
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law or a related field
- Fluent Arabic and English (essential)
- Experience in Kuwait, KSA or the wider GCC construction market is strongly preferred
- Professional credentials such as MRICS, MCIArb/FCIArb or a FIDIC certification are an advantage
Why this role
- * Lead the whole commercial function, not a single project
- Build the processes, team and reporting from a senior seat
- Direct exposure to executive leadership and a strong project pipeline
- Stability and reputation of a well-established regional contractor
