Al-Ma'bar for Contracting is a growing contracting company based in Amman, Jordan, delivering high-quality construction and interior fit-out projects. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Civil or Architectural Site Engineer with strong experience in interior fit-out works to join our team.
Role Description
The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising and coordinating fit-out activities on site, ensuring that works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in interior finishing works and be capable of managing subcontractors, solving site issues, coordinating between different trades, and ensuring timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily interior fit-out activities on site.
- Review architectural, civil, and interior design drawings before and during execution.
- Coordinate between civil, architectural, MEP, and other site activities.
- Supervise finishing works including gypsum board, ceilings, flooring, tiling, painting, joinery, glass, partitions, and related fit-out works.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
- Ensure execution complies with approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and quality requirements.
- Monitor site progress against the approved project schedule.
- Identify technical/site conflicts and provide practical solutions.
- Prepare material requests and follow up on required materials and deliveries.
- Conduct inspections and ensure proper workmanship and finishing quality.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, designers, and project management teams.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and maintain proper site documentation.
- Monitor quantities and support measurement, variation, and subcontractor payment processes.
- Ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
- Manage snagging, rectification, and final handover activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
- Minimum 5-6 years of relevant site experience, preferably in interior fit-out projects.
- Strong knowledge of finishing materials, installation methods, and fit-out construction details.
- Ability to read and understand architectural, interior, and MEP drawings.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Strong site management, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
- Good communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Experience in commercial, office, retail, hospitality, or high-end interior fit-out projects is an advantage.
