Job Title: Child Psychiatrist

Salary: AED 420,000 – 720,000 per year (AED 35,000 – 60,000 per month), depending on qualifications and experience, plus benefits
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team in Dubai. You will diagnose and treat mental health, developmental and behavioural conditions in children and young people, working closely with psychologists, therapists, educators and families to deliver safe, evidence-based, family-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- * Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents
- Diagnose and manage conditions such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, mood and behavioural disorders, and trauma-related conditions
- Develop and review individualised treatment plans, including medication management and monitoring
- Provide risk assessment and crisis intervention, including coordination of urgent care and referrals
- Work with psychologists, social workers, speech and occupational therapists and school teams as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Counsel and support parents and caregivers, including psychoeducation on diagnosis and treatment
- Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records in line with UAE health regulations and data protection requirements
- Contribute to clinical governance, case reviews, quality improvement and team supervision
- Take part in community awareness, training and outreach programmes on child mental health
Requirements
- Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution
- Specialist qualification in Psychiatry and subspecialty training or certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or equivalent)
- A minimum of 3 years of post-specialty experience, with experience in child and adolescent services
- A valid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license, or eligibility to obtain one before starting
- Strong skills in assessment, diagnosis, medication management and clinical documentation
- Excellent communication in English. Arabic is a strong advantage.
- Cultural sensitivity, empathy and sound ethical judgement when working with children and families
- Experience in neurodevelopmental assessment and in school or community settings is preferred
