Role Description The Certificate of Core Competency Electrician is a full-time, on-site role based in Salalah. The electrician will perform day-to-day electrical work, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in alignment with safety regulations and company procedures. Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues, conducting troubleshooting, performing routine inspections, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely. The role involves reading and interpreting technical diagrams, collaborating with project teams and supervisors, and completing documentation for completed work and maintenance activities. The electrician is expected to follow established safety protocols, support project schedules, and provide timely responses to electrical service requests.
Qualifications
* Strong practical skills in Electricity and general Electrical Work, with the ability to apply core competency standards on-site.
* Experience in Maintenance & Repair of electrical systems and equipment, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
* Proficiency in Troubleshooting electrical faults, diagnosing issues, and implementing effective solutions.
* Foundational knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to installations, load calculations, and system safety.
* Certificate of core competency or equivalent electrician certification, with valid authorization to work as an electrician where required.
* Understanding of electrical safety regulations, codes, and best practices, with a strong commitment to safe work procedures.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
* Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and other team members.
* Prior experience in industrial or commercial electrical projects is an advantage.
* Willingness to work on-site in Salalah, with flexibility to support project schedules and operational needs.
