Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CCTV Operator role based in Doha, Qatar. The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring live and recorded footage from surveillance cameras, identifying unusual or suspicious activity, and promptly reporting incidents according to established protocols. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate logs, documenting events, and communicating with on-ground security personnel and supervisors to support timely responses. The role also involves checking equipment functionality, escalating technical issues, and following all safety, security, and confidentiality procedures. The CCTV Operator works in shifts as required to ensure continuous coverage and supports investigations by retrieving and organizing video evidence when requested.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess strong observation skills, attention to detail, and situational awareness to effectively monitor multiple CCTV feeds.
* Candidates should possess basic technical skills related to CCTV systems, including familiarity with camera controls, recording software, and troubleshooting minor issues.
* Candidates should possess clear communication skills, both written and verbal, to report incidents, complete logs, and coordinate with security teams and management.
* Candidates should possess sound judgment, decision-making abilities, and the capacity to remain calm and focused under pressure.
* Candidates should possess a strong sense of confidentiality, integrity, and commitment to following security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Previous experience in security, surveillance, or a related field is preferred; experience in a control room environment is an advantage.
* Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to remain seated and attentive for extended periods.
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or safety certifications are beneficial.
* Working proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages commonly used in Doha is an asset.
