Your missions as a Credit Controller:
- Invoice Management: Manage the collection and reconciliation of outstanding customer invoices, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Debt Collection: Implement collection strategies, contacting customers by phone, email, and written correspondence to facilitate the timely payment of outstanding debts.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform detailed account analyses and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve billing issues quickly.
- Dispute Resolution: Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, Consultants, Sales) to resolve customer billing disputes and negotiate appropriate payment arrangements.
- Relationship Building: Foster positive customer relationships through effective communication, professionalism, and empathy when addressing payment issues.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment agreements, and collection activities using the appropriate tools and systems.
- Compliance & Policies: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements governing debt collection practices, guaranteeing ethical and compliant account handling.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize billing and collection processes, proposing improvements to increase efficiency.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, respond to customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and assist with account-related questions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, and Legal, to develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce outstanding debts.
What we're looking for:
- Excellent level of English and French
- Prior experience in debt collection, accounts receivable, customer service, or financial administration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in French; English is an asset to liaise with our Canadian teams
- Ability to handle sensitive conversations and negotiate professionally
- Schedule flexibility required (night shift, with partial availability on EST/PST hours)
- Good command of IT tools and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Strong organizational skills, rigor, and the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
- Ability to work aligned with Montreal time zone to ensure coordination with our Canadian teams
- Team spirit, autonomy, and proactivity in following up on client files
- Experience in an international environment or consulting firm is a plus
