Role Description
A Business Development Director is responsible for leading business growth strategies, developing new markets and client relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth through strategic partnerships and commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- * Develop and implement business development strategies and growth plans.
- Identify new markets, clients, partnerships, and revenue opportunities.
- Lead client acquisition and strategic business development activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Develop strategic partnerships and commercial alliances.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend monitoring.
- Set business development targets, KPIs, budgets, and performance objectives.
- Lead proposals, tenders, presentations, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, finance, operations, and other departments.
- Develop account strategies for key clients and target markets.
- Monitor sales pipelines, conversion rates, revenue, and business performance.
- Prepare business development reports, forecasts, budgets, and management updates.
- Lead, coach, and develop business development and sales teams.
- Identify commercial risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Support senior management with market expansion, strategic planning, and business growth initiatives.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, Economics, or a related field.
* Extensive experience in business development, sales, commercial management, or a similar leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of business growth strategies, market development, and client acquisition.
* Proven experience developing new markets, clients, partnerships, and revenue opportunities.
* Strong sales pipeline, KPI, budgeting, and target management experience.
* Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.
* Experience with CRM, ERP, and business development systems*.
* Good understanding of market research, competitive analysis, and commercial planning.
* Experience managing key accounts and strategic business relationships.
* Strong leadership and team development skills.
* Ability to manage multiple opportunities, projects, and deadlines.
* UAE/GCC business development or commercial experience is advantageous.
* Professional, strategic, organized, proactive, and results-oriented approach.
