Role Description The Automotive Workshop Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role oversees daily workshop operations, including scheduling and supervising repair and maintenance work, managing technician teams, and ensuring service quality and safety standards. The manager coordinates diagnostics, mechanical, electrical, and body repair activities, while monitoring workflow, parts availability, and turnaround times. Responsibilities include liaising with customers, providing clear repair estimates and updates, handling escalations, and maintaining strong relationships that support repeat business. The role also involves managing inventory, controlling costs, enforcing compliance with company policies, and contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and body work in multi-brand environments (preferably Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, RAM, SRT).
- Experience with workshop operations, including job scheduling, workflow management, resource allocation, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software, interpreting computer-based diagnostic reports, and guiding technicians on complex repairs.
- Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills, including supervising technicians, coaching team members, and fostering a collaborative work culture.
- Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly, manage expectations, and resolve concerns professionally.
- Sound organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation, repair orders, and inventory tracking.
- Experience with workshop administration, including basic budgeting, cost control, and coordination with parts suppliers.
- Minimum of a technical diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience in a similar role is highly valued.
- Prior experience as a workshop manager, service manager, or senior foreperson in an automotive environment is preferred.
