Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Auditor (Experience in External Audit ONLY) role based in Beirut. The auditor will perform external audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, including planning audit procedures, testing internal controls, and verifying financial statement balances. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing financial data, documenting audit findings, preparing working papers, and assisting in the drafting of audit reports in line with international and firm-specific standards. The role involves coordinating with client stakeholders, understanding business processes and risks, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards. The auditor will also support continuous improvement of audit methodologies and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong external auditing skills, including audit planning, risk assessment, test of controls, and substantive testing.
- Candidates should possess solid accounting and financial analysis skills, with proficiency in interpreting financial statements and applying IFRS or other relevant standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in documentation and reporting, including preparing working papers, drafting audit findings, and contributing to final audit reports.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain audit observations clearly and collaborate with client teams.
- Candidates should possess organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple engagements, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in external audit, preferably within an international or regional audit firm environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with audit software or tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Beirut, demonstrate integrity, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to professional and ethical standards.
