Job Summary:
Responsible for planning and executing all types of audits.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive audit program that provides complete audit coverage for the Bank & includes any risks, control & compliance identified.
- Carry out special investigations related to fraud control, risk management, safety and security.
- Ensure staff are kept up to date on relevant information on the job (Auditor Training).
- Participate in actual fieldwork to ensure quality of work and procedure.
- Analyze evidence gathered and communicate findings and recommendations to Head of Audit through oral briefings and written reports.
- Identify potential risk areas and internal control flaws in the course of audits and make appropriate recommendations for corrective action.
- Develop and discuss findings; come to agreement on recommendations and timelines for corrective actions with the responsible of branches/dept. audited.
- Review working papers prepared by associate auditors.
- Draft audit reports for entire assignment or portion of assignment.
- Act as a replacement for the head of audit in some or all of his responsibilities during absence.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field from reputable university.
- Minimum 8 years of Banking experience including 4 years of broad-based audit.
- Credit Course (completed or in process).
- CIA – Certified Internal Auditor (completed or parts of it).
- Strong background auditing Credit Cycles and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
- Excellent communication & presentation skills, both oral & written.
- Wide exposure to internal audit processes and practices.
