Role Description This is a part-time remote role for an Arabic Translator. The Arabic Translator will translate written content from English (and potentially other source languages) into Arabic with high accuracy, maintaining intended meaning, tone, and style. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing source materials, performing precise translations, adapting content for cultural relevance, and ensuring consistency with project guidelines. The role also involves proofreading and editing Arabic texts, collaborating with project managers and other team members, and meeting agreed deadlines for various types of content, such as technical documents, marketing materials, and multimedia scripts. The translator may occasionally support terminology management and contribute to improving translation workflows and quality standards.
Qualifications
- * Strong Arabic and English language proficiency, including excellent grammar, vocabulary, and stylistic control.
- Demonstrated experience in professional translation, preferably in fields such as media, IT, publishing, marketing, or corporate communication.
- Skills in proofreading, editing, and quality assurance for Arabic content to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to adapt content for cultural and regional relevance across different Arabic-speaking audiences.
- Proficiency with translation tools, CAT tools, and basic office software; familiarity with localization processes is an advantage.
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment.
- Good communication and collaboration skills for working with project managers, reviewers, and other team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Languages, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior experience with multimedia content (subtitling, voice-over scripts, or digital content) is a plus.
